HIRSCH Servo AG: New EPS Insulation Plant in Romania

The HIRSCH Servo Group is expanding its network of production facilities in Eastern and Southeastern Europe and is currently building a plant for manufacturing EPS insulating materials in Cluj/Romania. In addition to the main facility in Austria, the Group’s key EPS Processing Division also operates three plants in Hungary and two in Poland.

Director Peter Grabuschnig: “In Romania too the high energy prices have led to sustained strong demand for EPS insulation and an increased interest in western quality standards for external building insulation in the construction industry. We are therefore planning on investing over three million euros in Romania over the next few years.”

Mr Peter Grabuschnig and Mr Mircea Popescu have been appointed managers of the newly formed company HIRSCH Porozell S.r.l. The new plant is scheduled to go into operation in the second half of 2006 with sales activities starting in the spring. In the interim the HIRSCH plants in Hungary will supply the required insulating materials to Romania.

The next date on the financial calendar is January 31, 2006 when the results for the second quarter of 2005/06 will be announced.
