The two-layer facade insulation board from HIRSCH is a precision high-tech product for optimal thermal insulation. It consists of expanded gray polystyrene with a heat-resistant ALPIN coating made of white polystyrene. Special infrared reflectors reduce the amount of radiant heat passing through, thus guaranteeing energy savings of 70 percent.
Given its excellent thermal insulation properties, this unique system is ideal for the passive house sector. The reduced panel thickness (up to a quarter the size of conventional insulation materials) also makes the two-layer facade insulation board highly suitable for renovations, as it does not add so much to the building's exterior dimensions.
In addition, handling the smaller board size of 40 x 80 cm is also much easier when installing the insulation. The special take-it teeth on the rear of the cladding ensure very fast installation with up to 30 percent time saved during sealing.
