Lifoam Industries is one of the largest EPS shape molders in the United States. Last year we produced and sold large quantities of commercial EPS shipping containers and retail coolers. Airlite Plastics Co. has been molding with Hirsch shuttle presses and mold tools since 2004. We are shape molding EPS shipping containers for a large meat distributor customer in Nebraska. We have experienced very favorable quality and performance from Hirsch´s presses to manufacture other EPS packaging products and Insulating Concrete Form (ICF) construction products for our EPS Construction Business Units since 1996.

We routinely quality test our EPS shipping containers with a Flexural Stress Test and a Water Restistance Test. Our customers performs similar quality tests for comparison to our competition as well. Our EPS shipping containers regularly test well and are considered better quality than our competitors.

Our Hirsch press equipment consistently operates at our molding cycle standards. We experienced little press down-time and run at the efficiencies we expect as recommended by Hirsch Gruppe. Our Hirsch shape molding tools make quality parts and the tools require minimal maintenance.

We consider Hirsch a valuable business partner to our EPS shipping container business. Hirsch has been responsive to our needs and has allowed us to grow both our EPS Packaging Business & Construction Business Units. A big thanks to Rainer from Hirsch Austria, our Expanders are running great and really constant since we got the training from him. Since the training we know what to look for and what and when to check it. Our bead quality coming out of the Expander is great and the density is perfect. So far we did not have a breakdown on the Expanders do to Preventive Maintenance/ training.
It was really important to get the right training/ information and use it the right way. I would recommend the training to everybody that has a Hirsch Expander.

I would like to take this chance to tell the HIRSCH-Gruppe how pleased we were with how smooth the installation and training went on our new batch pre-expander. I have purchased equipment from others and never experienced such a smooth transition. You must also take notice that your installer and trainer Rainer Hormann exceeded in his field.  He not only trained our operators on the process, he also took time to explain why this process was developed and when it should apply. You have a very through employee and very dedicated to his job and his employer. I personally believe this is a great asset to your company and in future purchasing of equipment will hold this in high regards. Also thank your employees for such a well designed piece of equipment. It is operator friendly and mech. well built. As you can see we are very pleased. Please share this with your company.

Ein großes Lob an das gesamte Team. Alles wurde sehr schnell und wie besprochen durchgeführt. Auch die Inbetriebnahme wurde wieder rasch und fachkundig ausgeführt. Es flossen auch wieder sehr viele Informationen an unsere Jungs. Dadurch können sie in Zukunft sicher noch besser mit den Hirsch Automaten umgehen.

It was a very great pleasure to assist in the commissioning and start up of the 9000 pre-expander in Ohio this month! Hirsch Maschinenbau has perfected the design and construction of what was already the best batch pre-expander in the world! I am extremely impressed and more importantly, the customer is impressed!
In addition to the my accolades for an excellent piece of equipment, I want to congratulate, and thank, Rainer Hormann for his outstanding "hands-on" work with the production and supervisory personnel. I am delighted with the technical competence that he demonstrated BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, how well he interfaced with production, maintenance and supervisory personnel AND taught them what they needed to know about operating and maintaining the PREEX-9000! In addition to his intimate knowledge of the equipment, Rainer exhibited a broad fundamental knowledge of EPS material and processing techniques. Hirsch Maschinenbau continues to lead the industry in technical development of processing equipment and I am so pleased to see that the caliber of your field technicians has increased so dramatically over the years.

I have been meaning to write and compliment the Hirsch company and expressly Markus Mischkulnig on the installation and commissioning of our two new preexpanders and the reinstalling of older machine in Tasmania.

I wanted to send a brief note of appreciation in the job that has been done by the staff at Hirsch. It has been a great pleasure working with everyone during our last set-ups. I would like to give a special thanks to Rainer for his part in the start up of the Batch Expanders. With his expertise and support, it sure made the start-up appear that we have been doing this from the start of time. With our staff installing the first unit, it allowed us to get familiar with the unit and it made the following go much quicker and easier. With that, upon Rainer arriving, it allowed him to do his walk around inspection and computer set-up, and then the balance of his time was spent with our operators and extensive training. With Rainer being able to spend his time training versus hooking up, I feel our operators are better qualified to operate the vessel. I would like for consideration to be given to have Rainer return to our locations for a follow up inspection of the units. I look forward to the next one coming soon. Job well done. Thanks.

As one of the largest high-tech bicycle helmet producers in China we have just started up our new HIRSCH batch preexpander and it performs greatly with a degree of accuracy far beyond our expectations. After a 6 month production trial with two HS 1300 and one HS 1500 press, where all machines performed flawlessly, we recently installed an additional 7 presses under a very tight schedule. The Hirsch installation team, under the guidance of Mr. Bernard Labak, worked 7 day weeks to meet our deadline. We are very impressed with the performance of the machines as well as the service and dedication exhibited by Mr. Labak and his colleagues. Our manufacturing team is looking forward to working with these state of the art presses for many years to come. With our investment in quality and leading edge technology we expect to improve efficencies and in extension, our bottom line performance.
